Hayat International

We are up on the fifth floor of Devika Tower, in room 504, over in Chandan Nagar. Hayat International is what we call our business. It is an office, but it feels more like a small room where we just get things done. We deal with international shipping and trade. Most of our day is spent on the phone or looking at shipping schedules on a computer that is honestly a bit too slow. We do not have fancy carpets or expensive art on the walls. It is just files, folders, and calendars. Chandan Nagar is a nice place to work, and being in the tower gives us a bit of a view of the street below. We watch the cars and the people while we wait for calls to go through. We are not a big corporation with different departments for everything. We all do a bit of every task. If a package needs to be moved to the door, we move it ourselves. If a document needs filing, one of us just does it. We do not have a mission statement. We just want to make sure the exports we handle get to where they need to go without any trouble or delays. It is a lot of checking numbers and dates over and over. Sometimes we make mistakes, but we just fix them. We stay at 504 until the work is finished.
