Gopal Store

Gopal Store is located at Shop No 5 inside the Surya Enclave building. If you are familiar with the Gt Road area, we are right across from the Loha Mandi. It’s a busy spot, especially with all the heavy trucks and laborers moving around all day long. We’ve been running this little shop for a good while now. It isn’t much to look at from the outside, just a regular storefront with some signs, but it’s where we spend most of our lives. We try to keep things that the local people need, whether it is stuff for their homes or just something quick to eat. The traffic on Gt Road can be quite a mess sometimes, especially in the evenings when everyone is trying to get home at the same time. You get used to the noise and the constant dust after a while. Most of our regulars are folks who work in the Mandi or live in the nearby streets. We don't really bother with big neon signs or flashy lights to get attention. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the day to start. Sometimes it is quiet and I just sit on my small stool and watch the cars go by. Other times, it gets so crowded in here you can barely move. That’s just how it goes for us. We are happy to be part of the community in Surya Enclave. It feels like a real neighborhood.
