Our building is simple, just a place where we keep the lathes and the tools we need for the day’s work. It isn't the quietest neighborhood, as there is always some kind of construction or a truck backing up nearby. We spend our hours looking at small parts and making sure they are cut the way they are supposed to be. It’s quiet work in a way, even with the hum of the motors in the background. We have a small team here, and everyone knows what their job is without being told every five minutes. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a second to breathe and talk about something other than work. The walls at D-32 have seen a lot of years, and we have some old machines that still run better than the new ones we bought last year.
