Gaurav Textiles is located right by Fatak No.16 in Vijay Nagar, Modi Nagar. If you know the area, you know the sound of the trains passing by is something we hear all day long. Our shop is filled with rolls of fabric stacked up against the walls. We have everything from simple cottons to some heavier materials, and it’s usually a bit of a mess because we’re constantly unrolling things to show customers. It’s a local spot where people come when they want to make some clothes or need curtains for their house. The lighting isn't the best, so we often take the cloth out to the doorway to see the real color in the sunlight. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the neighbors all know us. Sometimes we just sit on the stools out front when things are slow, watching the people wait for the railway crossing to open. It’s not a big corporate operation; it’s just us and the fabrics. We handle the measuring and the cutting ourselves, and sometimes the scissors need sharpening more often than we’d like. It’s a simple business, really. We just show up, open the shutters, and see who comes by looking for a few meters of cloth today. We try to keep things easy and relaxed here.
