Gaura Designs

Our shop, Gaura Designs, is tucked away at No. Kg-117 in Kavi Nagar. Being so close to Ramlila Maidan means we hear a lot of what’s going on during festival times, which is nice. It keeps things interesting. We do a lot of design work here, mostly sitting at our desks and sketching or working on the computer. The office is a bit crowded with samples and old projects we’ve finished, but we know where everything is. It’s a neighborhood place. Most of our neighbors are families or other small shops. We like it that way. It’s not like being in a big corporate park where you don’t know anyone. Here, we recognize the people walking by. We started this because we enjoy making things look good. Sometimes a design takes all day, and other times it comes together in an hour. We don’t really have a secret method. We just try things until they work. The light in the office is pretty good in the morning, which helps with the color work. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm out there. We just want to do good work for the people who ask us. If you’re walking near the maidan, you’ll probably see our door. It’s a simple place, nothing fancy, just a few of us working on designs and drinking too much tea while we do it. It’s a good way to spend the day. We hope to stay here for a long time.
