Prem Bakery

If you go down Gali Number 5 in Triplicane, you will find Prem Bakery. It is a small place, like many of the shops in this part of town. We have been baking here for quite a while. The smell of fresh bread and biscuits usually fills the lane in the mornings. It is a busy neighborhood with people always walking by. Our bakery is not fancy at all. We have the ovens in the back and a small counter in the front where we keep the trays. It gets pretty hot near the ovens, especially in the summer, but that is part of the job. We do not have a big staff. It is mostly family and a couple of helpers who have been with us for years. We start very early, before the sun is even up, to make sure the first batch is ready for the morning rush. The shop is small, so it can get crowded when a few people come in at once. We do not use fancy packaging or have a big sign. Most people know us because they live nearby or walk past every day. We just try to make good stuff that tastes like it should. We are not trying to change the world. We just want to keep the ovens running and see the regulars every morning. It is a simple life and a simple business in a very busy street.
