Our office is tucked away in the Balaji Complex, right on G.T. Road in Dharampura. It’s room number 160 on the F5 level. It’s a busy building with a lot of people coming and going, so there’s always a bit of a buzz. Inside, we have a couple of wooden desks and some chairs for when people come in to apply for work. There are files piled up in the corner with records of all the sites we look after. Being right on the main road means there’s constant traffic noise, but it makes it easy for people to find us. We spend a lot of time on the phone, coordinating shifts and checking in on the staff. It’s not a polished corporate office. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the tea coasters are a bit stained, but it’s a functional space. Most of our day is spent talking to people and keeping track of schedules on a big whiteboard we have hanging up. We don’t have fancy software; we mostly use paper logs and old-fashioned notebooks. It’s just how we’ve always done it. Sometimes the lift in the complex doesn't work, so we end up taking the stairs a lot. It keeps us busy. We are usually here from early morning until late evening, just making sure everything is handled properly for the night shifts.
