Design Centre

We are up on the first floor at 88 Navyug Market. It is an older building and the stairs can be a bit steep if you aren't used to them. Being in the middle of Navyug Market means there is always something happening downstairs. The noise of the shoppers and the vendors comes up through the windows. We call this the Design Centre. It’s mostly just a few desks with computers and a big table for looking at prints. It’s not a very big space, but it’s enough for us. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a little clicking sound, but we don't mind. We spend most of our time staring at screens or sketching out ideas on pads of paper. There are always rolls of tracing paper and pens scattered around. It’s the kind of place where you can lose track of time once you start working on a project. We get our lunch from the stalls downstairs, which is convenient. People come up the stairs looking for us when they need something designed. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a big reception area or anything fancy. Just a door with our name on it and a workspace where we get things done. It feels good to be right in the heart of the market where everything is moving all the time.
