Deepak Cutting Saloon

Deepak Cutting Saloon is over at Shop No 46 on the Main Road in Indirapuram. We are very close to Mangal Chowk, so there are always plenty of people passing by our door. The shop is small and we keep it pretty simple with just the things we need to work. Every morning, I sweep up the floor and make sure all the towels are clean and folded. We have three chairs in here, though usually only two are being used at the same time. The mirrors go all the way across the wall, which makes the space feel a bit bigger than it actually is. I’ve been cutting hair here for a while and I’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. We do basic haircuts and shaves for the local guys and students. The street noise from the main road is quite loud, especially during the rush hour in the mornings and evenings. I keep a little television in the corner to pass the time when it’s slow, but usually there’s someone waiting. We don't use any fancy lotions or expensive equipment, just the standard stuff that works well. People like to chat while I work, mostly about the local news or the cricket scores. It’s a friendly place and we try to make sure everyone leaves looking a bit better than when they walked in. It's just a regular neighborhood shop.
