You’ll find CMI Switchgears Pvt. Ltd. at Plot No. 14 in the Rajender Nagar Industrial Estate. It’s specifically in Gali No. 2, which can be a bit hard to spot if you’re driving too fast. Sahibabad is always busy, with trucks backed up and workers moving everywhere. Our plot is a decent size, enough to hold all the switchgear components we need to put together. The heavy metal doors at the front stay open most of the day to let some air in, though it also lets in the noise from the street. Inside, the team is usually spread out across the floor, working on different sections of the panels. We have a small office tucked into the side where the ledger books and the computer are kept. It’s a bit dusty, as you’d expect for an industrial estate, and there’s always a layer of grit on the windows. We spend our mornings looking over the orders that came in and our afternoons making sure everything is loaded onto the tempos correctly. The local tea seller comes by twice a day, and that’s when everyone takes a quick break. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, the tools, and the switchgears. We’ve been at this location for a long time and the building shows its age, but it works for us. We just try to get the work done before the sun goes down.
