City Hospital & Trauma Centre

Being right on the Main Ghaziabad Road means we see a lot of things. It is a noisy spot with all the trucks and cars zooming by day and night. The trauma centre part of our name means we are ready for the rough stuff that happens on the road. It gets pretty hectic here, and the floors get scuffed up pretty fast with all the boots and stretchers coming through. We have a small desk near the entrance where someone is usually sitting, trying to keep track of all the names and forms. The lights are those bright fluorescent ones that make everyone look a bit pale, but they help us see what we are doing at three in the morning. We don’t really have any fancy art on the walls, just some old calendars and notices about health stuff. The staff drinks a lot of tea to stay awake during the long shifts. Sometimes the air conditioner in the waiting room makes a rattling sound, but it still keeps the place cool enough. Most of the people who come in are from the local area or were just passing through when something went wrong. It’s a busy life here in Ghaziabad. We just focus on getting people patched up and sent back on their way. There isn't much time for anything else when the phone starts ringing again and another car pulls up to the entrance with someone needing help.
