Our facility at C H W Forge Pvt Ltd is situated over by Maliwara, right near Hapur Road. It’s an industrial area, so don’t expect anything too pretty when you pull up to the gates. The air usually smells like hot metal and oil, which is something you just grow accustomed to when you work in forging. Inside, it’s a lot of heavy machinery and the constant sound of hammers hitting steel. We’ve been at this location for a good long while, and the floors definitely show the age and the hard work that happens here every shift. We deal with a lot of heavy parts every single day. The guys on the floor are usually covered in a bit of soot, but they know exactly what they are doing with the machines. It’s not the kind of place where people wear suits or sit in fancy chairs. We spend a lot of time checking the dimensions of the forgings and making sure everything is cooling down properly. The heat from the furnaces can be quite something during the summer months, but we just keep the fans running and push through. We get trucks coming in and out from Hapur Road at all hours, bringing in raw materials or taking out the finished pieces. It’s a straightforward operation. We focus on the metal and the machines, trying to keep everything running without too many breakdowns or delays in the daily schedule.
