Bulandshahr Road A World Bank Project U.P. P.W.D., Meerut

We are over here at the Bulandshahr Road project office in Rajendra Nagar, which is part of the U.P. P.W.D. setup. It’s a busy spot in Sahibabad, right in Sector 5. Most days involve a lot of paperwork and people coming in and out to check on how the road work is going. It is a World Bank funded thing, so there are always lots of files to look at. The office is at 4/33, and it gets a bit noisy with the Ghaziabad traffic outside. We have been working on this for a while now. The staff here knows the local roads pretty well. Sometimes the tea guy is late, and that’s when things get slow, but usually, we are just heads down in the ledger. It isn’t a fancy place with glass walls or anything. Just desks, chairs, and a lot of maps of Meerut and the surrounding areas pinned to the walls. We deal with the contractors and the engineers who are out on the site mostly. The summer heat makes the office feel a bit tight, but we keep the fans going. Everyone knows everyone around here in Sahibabad. If you are looking for the P.W.D. guys for the Bulandshahr stretch, this is where we sit. We don't spend much time on fancy talk, we just try to get through the daily list of tasks. The address is easy to find if you know the Rajendra Nagar area well enough. We have been here for years.
