Amit Forgings Pvt. Ltd. is situated out on Bulandshahar Road in the Industrial Area. It’s at C-174, right where all the big trucks pass by all day long. The air is always a bit heavy with smoke and dust from all the factories. It’s a loud place to work because of the heavy machinery. We don't really have a front desk or anyone to greet you, just the gate and the sound of work being done inside. The walls are a bit stained from the years of soot, but that’s normal for this part of town. Most of us live nearby and walk or bike in. We start early before the sun gets too high. By midday, it is quite hot inside the shed. We take breaks when we can, sitting on some crates or near the doorway to get a breeze. Bulandshahar Road is always congested, so getting supplies in can take longer than you think. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here at C-174. It’s a practical setup. There are tools everywhere and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep. It’s just how an industrial shop is. We do our shifts, handle the metal, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s hard work but it’s what we do for a living every day.
