Aman Ice Cream

Our shop is tucked away in Ward No- 3 of the Nai Basti area in Bahadurganj. We are very close to the old gun factory, which is how most people describe the location when they are giving directions. It is a bit of a walk from the main transport hubs, but we have a loyal set of customers from the surrounding houses. I started Aman Ice Cream because I wanted something of my own in the neighborhood where I grew up. The shop is simple, with just a few cooling units and a place for me to sit between customers. It gets very quiet in the middle of the day, but once the sun starts to go down, the street comes alive. I see a lot of the same people every day. We don't have a big menu. I find that sticking to what we know works best for everyone. Sometimes the supply trucks have trouble navigating the narrow streets of Nai Basti, which can be a bit stressful, but we always figure it out. I do all the work myself, from cleaning the floors to serving the scoops. It is a small life but a good one. I don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just sell ice cream to our neighbors and try to keep everything running smoothly day after day. It is just a part of the local community here.
