Our unit is located at 57/2 in Site IV Industrial Area, right in the heart of Sahibabad. It is a massive area, and sometimes it feels like a maze of factories and warehouses. Our building is quite large, which is necessary for the kind of industrial work we do here. The floors are often covered with bits of material and the air smells like machinery and grease. It is loud inside most of the time, so we have to speak up to be heard over the hum of the equipment. We have been here for years, and the building shows its age in some spots, like the water stains on the ceiling or the way the heavy metal doors groan when you open them. The shifts change like clockwork, and you see the same faces every day, which gives it a bit of a community feel despite it being such a big place. We have a small break area with a fridge that makes a loud humming noise and a table that is slightly wobbly. It isn't a place for people who like a quiet office job. It is hard work, and by the end of the day, everyone is usually pretty tired. We focus on keeping the machines running and making sure nothing breaks down during the middle of a big job. The trucks are constantly pulling into the bay, and the guys spend a lot of time loading and unloading crates in the heat.
