Abilities India Pistons & Rings Ltd.

Our place, Abilities India Pistons & Rings Ltd., is right on Gt Road Giani Border, near Po Chikamberpur. If you’ve driven past that way, you’ve probably seen the trucks lined up. We stay busy with pistons and rings mostly. It’s not the kind of work where you stay clean. By the end of the shift, everyone has a bit of metal shavings on them. The building is older and has that heavy industrial feel to it. We don't have a fancy lunchroom, so we mostly sit near the back gate where there’s a bit of a breeze. The machines we use are loud and they’ve been around for a while, but we know how to fix them when they act up. We don't spend much time on the computer unless it’s to check a delivery date. Most of the work is done by hand or with the lathes. People around the Giani Border know us as the place that just keeps going. We don't do big advertisements or anything like that. It’s just us doing the same work every week. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the side door, but we just put a bucket down and keep moving. It’s a practical way to run a shop. We just focus on getting the rings right so they don't come back. That's about it for what happens here every day at the factory.
