Apu Auto

Apu Auto is located right on the main market road in Ghatsila. You’ve probably seen us if you’re heading towards Hotel Bibhuti Vihar, we are just a short walk from there. It’s a noisy part of town with all the traffic but it keeps us busy. We started this shop because we know cars and bikes inside out and wanted to work for ourselves. The shop isn't very large so sometimes the sidewalk gets a bit crowded with vehicles waiting for parts. We spend most of our daylight hours covered in grease and oil. It’s hard work but it’s what we know. People from all over Ghatsila come to us when their engines start making funny noises. We don’t have a waiting room with AC or anything like that. Usually, customers just stand around and chat while we work or go get a tea nearby. We keep a lot of spare parts stacked up in the back, though finding the right one sometimes takes a minute. It’s a family-run thing mostly. We aren't interested in being the biggest shop in town, we just want to make sure the vehicles leaving here are running right. I usually have grease under my fingernails even on my days off. That's just part of the life when you run a shop like this one in the middle of a busy market.
