Shakthi Feeds

Shakthi Feeds is located over in Medipalle at 14-8 Kamala Nagar Colony. Being out here in Ghatkesar means things are a little more spread out than the city center, which is good because we need the space for the heavy bags of feed. When you walk into the warehouse, the first thing you notice is the earthy smell of grain and corn. It’s a very distinct scent that stays on your clothes long after you leave for the day. We have stacks of sacks piled high against the walls, sorted by what kind of animal they are for. Most of our day is spent helping people load their vehicles. It’s physical work, and my back definitely feels it by the time the evening rolls around. We have a small office area with a fan that makes a clicking noise, where we keep track of what’s coming in and what’s going out. The colony is usually pretty quiet, except for the sound of our gates opening or a truck pulling in to drop off a new shipment. We don't have any fancy signage or glass windows. It is just a practical place for people to get what they need for their livestock. We’ve got a routine down now, and everyone who works here knows their job, from checking the quality of the grain to making sure the floor stays swept clear of hulls and dust. It’s a steady way of life and we’re used to the heavy lifting.
