Viswambhara Corugated Containers is out at S No 20 in Chengicherla. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s a bit more open compared to the city center. We have a good amount of space here, which is necessary because corrugated boxes take up a lot of room. The machinery warming up is the first thing you hear in the morning. There’s a specific smell to the raw paper and the glue we use that you just get used to after a week of working here. Concrete floors stay cool, but they’re always covered in a bit of paper dust. Moving large stacks of cardboard takes up most of our energy throughout the day. It’s physical work and it keeps us busy. We don’t have fancy air conditioning in the main work area, so we rely on the big doors being open to catch a breeze. Chengicherla is growing, but it still feels a bit quiet compared to the main city. We’ve got a small area where we sit and eat our lunch together.
