Taj Palace Hotel

We’ve been running Taj Palace Hotel here in Allahabad for a while now. It’s located in the UP 212208 area. It isn't a fancy place with gold curtains, just a building where people stay when they’re passing through. Most mornings start with the tea guy coming by and us checking who is checking out. The lobby is a bit small but we keep it tidy. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but that’s just how things go around here. People come for work or to visit family, and we just give them a key and show them their room. The address is easy to find if you know the neighborhood. We mostly deal with regulars who know what to expect. There’s a lot of noise from the street outside during the day. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure the beds are made and the water is running. It’s a simple job, really. Sometimes it gets busy during the wedding season and the phone doesn't stop. We just try to keep things moving. It’s not like those big corporate places in the city. We’re just a local spot in Allahabad. If you need a place to sleep, we are here. That’s pretty much all there is to it. We spend most of our time sitting at the front desk or checking the linens. It’s a quiet life most days. We are right there in the heart of the locality and we know the street like the back of our hand.
