Heaven Ice Cream

You can find us at Andawa Chauraha, right there near Nishtha Hospital and National Highway No.2. Being so close to the highway means we get a lot of people who are just driving through and need a break from the road. It’s a very dusty area because of all the construction and the big trucks passing by all the time. We’ve got the shop at Andawa set up so it’s easy to pull over. The hospital is right there too, so we see a lot of people who are visiting family or just need a moment of peace. The shop is pretty basic with just some tiles and the big sliding-door freezers. I’m usually the one who stays late to mop up the footprints from the day. It gets pretty loud with the highway traffic, but you get used to the sound of the engines after a while. We have a small TV in the corner that’s usually on some news channel, but nobody really watches it. My family helps me out during the weekends when the highway gets really backed up. We don't have fancy decorations, just some plain tables and chairs that have been around for years. It’s a bit of a rough-and-ready place, but it works for the people coming off the road. We just keep the lights on and the coolers running. Heaven Ice Cream is right there by the chauraha if you look for the big sign.
