Lija Social Service Foundation

Our foundation is based in Gazole, right at No 02 Sarkarpara. It is located at Jasmin Ara Begam’s place. We have been here for a long while now. We are just a small group of people trying to do some social work in the area. It isn't a huge operation with lots of employees or managers. It is mostly just us and some volunteers from the neighborhood who help out when they can. We focus on the things that really matter to the people living here in Gazole. This is our home. We are not trying to be some big national organization or anything like that. We just want to help the folks in Sarkarpara and the surrounding areas as much as possible. The office is quite small. We have got some chairs and a wooden table where we sit and plan things out. Sometimes we are out in the village more than we are actually in the office. We do not use any fancy or corporate language. We just talk to people like we have known them forever. Because the truth is, we have. We have seen the kids grow up and we have seen things change around here over the years. We try to keep things honest and clear. If we can help someone, we do it. If we can't help, we are honest about it. We spend our days meeting with families and seeing what they need from us.
