The Royal Residency

Our place, The Royal Residency, sits on Dumuhan Road in Bodhgaya. This part of the area is a bit different from the big cities. It's quieter, though Dumuhan Road sees its fair share of travelers and monks. We’ve been operating here for some time now. It’s not a polished corporate operation. It’s just a few of us making sure the rooms are ready and the kitchen is stocked. We spend a lot of time outside on the grounds because the dust can settle pretty quickly around here. Bodhgaya is a place people come to for many reasons, and we just provide a spot for them to rest. We don't have a big mission statement or anything fancy. We just wake up, clean the place, and wait for the guests to arrive. The building is a simple structure on a long road. Sometimes the power goes out, or the internet is slow, but that’s just how it goes here. We try to be helpful when people ask about the local temples or where to get a rickshaw. It’s honest, daily work. We aren't trying to be more than a local residency. If you walk down Dumuhan Road, you’ll find us. We’re just regular folks running a business in Bodhgaya, keeping things as tidy as we can. It’s not always easy keeping up with the maintenance, but we stay on top of it. It’s just a normal day for us, and we keep the tea ready.
