New Dharmendra General & Ice Cream Store

We’ve been here at Plot No. 1886 on Atabai Road for a good while now. Most people know us because we’re right near the Bank of India. It’s a busy spot during the day with people coming and going from the bank. We started out just selling general items, you know, the usual things people need for their homes. But then we added the ice cream section because it gets so hot around here and kids were always asking for something cold. The shop isn't fancy or anything. There’s a lot of shelves with different goods and a few big freezers for the ice cream. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when the school lets out or when there’s a line at the bank. We try to keep things organized but on busy days there might be some boxes in the way. It’s just how it goes when you’re running a small place like this. My brother and I take turns behind the counter. We know most of the neighbors by name since they stop in for milk or bread or a quick treat. It’s a simple life. We open early and close when the street gets quiet. The ice cream helps bring a bit of life to the store. People like to stand outside and eat while they chat. We don't have much seating, just the space out front really. It’s been our family business for some time and we just keep it moving every day.
