Our little office is tucked away in Budh Lal Gali, which is right in the Chotki Delha area of Gaya. If you know the neighborhood, you know it gets pretty busy and dusty during the day. We are part of the larger Jindal Group, focusing on Nalwa Steel & Power, but our daily life here is mostly about managing the local paperwork and making sure the logistics side of things stays on track. The building isn't anything fancy to look at, just a practical space where we spend most of our hours. In the summers, it gets incredibly hot in Bihar, so we keep the fans running at full speed all day long. Most of the morning is spent checking logs and talking to drivers or suppliers over the phone. We usually take a break around one o'clock to get some food from the nearby shops. It is a lot of routine work, really. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait for a bit, talking about the local news or whatever is happening in the street. People walk by the window all the time heading toward the station. We’ve been here for a while now, and it just feels like a normal part of the community. There isn’t a lot of noise inside, just the sound of the keyboards and the occasional truck passing by outside on the main road. It is just a regular place where we get the work done.
