We are the Mahabodhi Buddhist Philosophy Development And Conservation Foundation. Our office is located at house number 298 in the Budhnagar area of Bodhgaya. Being in Bodhgaya is important because of the history here. We focus on Buddhist philosophy and keeping the traditions alive. It’s not a commercial business where we sell things for profit. It’s more of a foundation where we study and talk about these ideas. The building is simple and sits in a quiet part of the neighborhood. We have a lot of books and old papers piled up on the tables. Sometimes people come by to ask questions or just to sit for a while. We don't have a big staff. It's just a few of us who care about the philosophy. We spend our days reading and organizing events when we have the funds. The roof leaks a little when it rains hard, so we have to move the books around. It’s a bit of a struggle to keep everything maintained. We don't do much marketing. Most people find us because they are already interested in the subject. We just try to provide a space for these thoughts to continue. It’s a slow pace of life here. We don't rush through things. Every day is about conservation and thinking about the old ways.
