International Sadhananandapala Banavihara Foundation

We are over here in Bodh Gaya, specifically in Ward Number 17. The name we use is International Sadhananandapala Banavihara Foundation, which I know is a real handful to say all at once. People around the village just see us as part of the neighborhood now. It gets really busy around here sometimes with people coming and going, but our little spot in the Bodh Gaya NP area stays pretty much the same. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a normal place where we do our things. We’ve got a few rooms and some old furniture. The fans hum all day when it’s hot, which is most of the time lately. You walk down the road and you see the Tola- Ward No. 17 sign and you know you’re close. It’s a long walk if you’re coming from the main part of town, but we don’t mind it much. We see the same faces every morning, mostly just folks heading to work or kids going to school. There’s a bit of dust because the roads aren't always great, but that’s just how it is in this part of Bodh Gaya. We spend a lot of time just sitting and handling what needs to be done. No fancy stuff here, just a lot of talk and some paperwork. We’ve been at this address for a while and don't plan on moving. It’s home for us now. We just take it day by day and try to keep the place tidy, though the dust makes that a bit hard.
