Human Rights Umbrella Foundation

Our office is at Om Namah Shivay Villa, House H-285. We are on Bodhgaya Road, near the Pant Nagar area. It’s a busy part of Gaya. We started this foundation because we saw people not getting treated right. It happens a lot, and we thought we should try to do something. We aren't lawyers or anything like that. We are just regular people who care about how others are treated. We spend a lot of time listening to people who have had a hard time. Sometimes they just need someone to talk to, and other times they need help with something more serious. We don't have a lot of resources, but we try to use what we have. It’s a small team, mostly just us and a few volunteers from the neighborhood. We don't use big legal words or try to sound important. We just want to make sure people in Gaya know they have someone in their corner. It’s hard work and it can be discouraging sometimes. But we stay at the villa and keep the doors open. We’ve been here for a bit now and people are starting to know who we are. We aren't looking for a lot of attention. We just want to do what’s right and help our neighbors when they are in a tough spot. Sometimes the traffic on Bodhgaya road is loud, but inside the villa, we try to keep things calm and helpful for whoever walks in.
