Green Field

Green Field is located at Purani Godown on Swarajpuri Road in Gaya. We are right near the Anugrah Kanya school, so we see a lot of students and parents every day. The building is an old warehouse, and it feels like it. It has high ceilings and the air inside is usually a bit cooler than the street outside. We spend our time moving stock around and keeping an eye on everything in the godown. Swarajpuri Road is a very loud and busy place to be. There is always the sound of horns and engines coming in through the doors. We have a small desk near the front where we do our paperwork and talk to anyone who comes by. The floors are made of concrete and have a few cracks here and there. It’s a bit dusty because of all the vehicles passing by the entrance. We don't have any big signs or decorations. It’s just a functional space for us to work. Sometimes the traffic gets so bad that it’s hard for the trucks to get in or out. We just wait it out and do what we can. Our team is small, mostly just a few of us who have been here for years. We eat our lunch in the shade when we get a chance. It’s a basic way of working, but it’s what we know. We close the big gates at the end of the day.
