If you walk down Murarpur Road toward Baranwal Colony, you will find us right across from the Shiv Mandir. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows the temple. We are also right opposite the Rajkiya Madhya Vidyalay, so we hear the school bell ringing all day long and the kids playing during their breaks. Ganpati Enterprises is basically just a few rooms filled with whatever we are trading or selling at the moment. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the day-to-day stuff to worry about that. It gets a bit crowded in the morning when parents are dropping off their children at the school and then stopping by for a few things. The street is narrow, so it can be a bit of a squeeze if two cars try to pass each other right in front of our door. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. We usually keep the front door open to let some air in, even if it brings in some of the dust from Murarpur Road. There is a small bench out front where people sometimes sit and wait for their ride or just talk for a minute. We try to keep things simple and honest here. It’s just a local business run by people who live right nearby. We know the routine of the neighborhood, the temple prayers, and the school schedule. Sometimes the evening prayers from the mandir are the best part of our day.
