Dhammpada Buddhist International Council

Dhammpada Buddhist International Council is over in Moh Budhnagar in Bodhgaya. Pravesh Kumar, who is the son of Sri Laxman Ravidas, is the one you would look for. Being in Bodhgaya, we are surrounded by a lot of spiritual history, but our office is very humble. We are at house number 298. It is a local neighborhood where kids play in the street and people are always out and about. Even though we have the word international in our name, we are very much a local operation. We spend a lot of time talking to visitors and people from the community. We don't have a big marketing budget or a polished public relations team. We just have our small space where we sit and talk. Sometimes people come from far away because of the significance of Bodhgaya, and we do our best to be helpful. The days here can be quite busy during the tourist season, but we stay grounded. We aren't trying to be some massive organization. We just want to provide a space for discussion and local support. It is a quiet kind of work, mostly involving meetings and helping out where we can. We have been in Budhnagar for some time and we like the atmosphere here. It feels like the right place for us to be, just doing our daily tasks and helping the people who come by.
