Coffee Roaster'S (Opc) Private Limited

We are set up in Chanakya Puri Colony in Gaya, specifically at HIG 58. It’s a residential colony so it stays fairly peaceful compared to the main market areas near the temples. We have the roasting machines in the back part of the house. When we start a batch, you can smell the coffee roasting from all the way down the street. Some people like it, others probably find it a bit much in the morning. Being an OPC means it’s a small operation, mostly just keeping things running and making sure the beans don't burn. The heat in Gaya is no joke, especially in May, and standing next to a roaster doesn't help. We spend a lot of time cleaning out the chaff and checking the temperature gauges. Sometimes the machine acts up and we have to spend half the day fixing a belt or cleaning a filter. It is just one of those things you deal with. We don't have a storefront where you can sit and drink, it’s more of a production space. We move the bags around, weigh them, and get them ready to go out. It's a lot of manual work, lifting heavy sacks and sweeping the floors constantly because coffee dust gets everywhere. We just keep our heads down and work through the schedule. It is a steady way to spend the day here in Gaya.
