Bagarmal Ram Store Das

Our shop is tucked away behind the BH Oil Mill in Pajaya. If you know the area, you know that the smell of oil is always in the air here. Bagarmal Ram Store Das has been around for quite some time now. We aren't on the main street, so it’s a bit quieter, which I personally like. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. We sell various things, mostly stuff people need for their houses every day. The shelves are always a bit crowded because we try to keep a bit of everything in stock. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is kept. Sometimes it takes a minute to find a specific item if it’s buried in the back. We don't have a website or a fancy computer system. We just use a notebook and a pen for most of our stuff. It works for us and our neighbors don’t seem to mind. The mill nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We open early because that's when people like to shop before the heat gets too bad. It’s a small life but it’s ours. We just keep the doors open and wait for the regulars to stop by for their goods and a bit of a chat. The afternoon sun hits the front window pretty hard, so we usually pull the shade down then.
