Art Centre

You can find our shop, Art Centre, at Shop No.3 right by the Main Temple in Bodh Gaya. We are very close to the Mahabodhi Temple, which means we get a lot of people from all over the world walking past our door. It is a very special place to be, even if it gets incredibly crowded during the festival seasons. The shop is small, and we have it packed with different pieces of art and crafts. We spend most of our time talking to visitors or dusting the shelves. It is not a corporate environment at all; it is more like a hobby that turned into a full-time job for us. We do not have a lot of space for storage, so what you see is usually what we have available. Sometimes we are busy sourcing new items from local artists, and other days we just sit and watch the crowds go by. The bells from the temple are a constant sound in the background throughout the day. It is a peaceful spot, despite the noise of the tourists. We try to keep things simple and honest. We have been in this location for quite a few years and have seen many people come and go. It is a humble place, just a small shop trying to offer something nice to those visiting the temple. We usually open up early in the morning when the first pilgrims arrive and stay until the sun sets.
