Ankuran Kids

Ankuran Kids is located in Gaya, right in the main part of town. We are a small place for younger children to come and learn the basics. The building isn't very big, but we have made sure the rooms are okay for kids to spend their day in. We have some posters on the walls with letters and numbers to help them learn. It’s usually pretty loud here because little kids don't really know how to be quiet. We have a few staff members who help with the teaching and also look after them during their snack breaks. Gaya is a place with a lot of history, but our day-to-day life is just about the children. We start our mornings by sweeping the floors and getting the toys out. Parents usually walk their kids over since we are close to where many people live. We don't have a big playground, so they mostly play inside or in the small yard we have. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts or the heat, which is just part of living in this area. We try to keep a routine so the kids know what to expect. It is a simple operation and we just take it one day at a time. Most of us here have worked with kids for a long time. We aren't a big corporation, just a local spot for the neighborhood children. We keep things practical and just focus on the kids.
