Zebrafish Foundation India

Our base is over in the IT Colony, specifically at F-108/00 in Sector 21/22. It’s where Himanshu Rajat Gupta and the rest of us get things done. Zebrafish Foundation India sounds like it might be about pets, but it’s actually more about research and helping the community understand science. This spot was chosen because it's central for our team. The office isn't very large. We have a couple of desks and a lot of books. Some days it feels a bit cramped when everyone shows up at once. We started this because we realized how important it was to have a local focus on these specific types of studies. There’s a lot of paperwork involved. Keeping things organized is a challenge, and sometimes files pile up on the floor. It’s a real working space. Don't expect a receptionist or anything fancy like that. If you knock, someone will eventually answer. A lot of time is spent on computers and talking to people in the scientific community. It’s quiet work mostly. The colony is a decent place to be based. We’ve been here for a while now and the neighbors know us. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s not about being famous. It’s about making sure the data is right and people have the info they need. Life is taken one day at a time here in the colony.
