Vartalap Social Welfare Foundation

Vartalap Social Welfare Foundation is located at Mahendra Singh’s place in Shambhoo Nagar. We are in Shikohabad and the pin code is 283135. It is a very local setup, just a house where we have a few rooms dedicated to our work. Mahendra is usually around to help with things. The name Vartalap means conversation, and that is really the core of what happens here. We sit and talk through things until we find a way forward. It is not a very high-tech office. We have a couple of old computers and a lot of paper notebooks. The furniture is a bit mismatched, but it is comfortable enough for long meetings. Shikohabad is a small town, so we know most of the people who come by. We don't use any fancy language to describe ourselves. We are just a group of people in a house trying to do something useful. Sometimes the stray dogs on the street make a lot of noise, but otherwise, it is a peaceful spot. We have been working from this address for several years now and we have no plans to move. It fits our needs perfectly and keeps us close to the people we know. It is an honest, simple place.
