If you go to the village and post office of Bhaila Khurd in Deoband, you’ll find Vaibhavi Welfare Foundation. We’re located care of Smt. Resham, and it’s a very quiet, rural spot in Saharanpur. We’ve been part of this community for a while, just trying to do some good where we can. The area around Deoband is mostly farming land, and life moves at a different pace here than it does in the big cities of Uttar Pradesh. Our office is just a plain building where we meet with locals to talk about whatever welfare issues are popping up. Sometimes it’s about health, other times it’s just about helping a family get through a tough patch. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby with plush chairs. Usually, there’s a pot of tea on and someone sitting around ready to chat. Being in Bhaila Khurd means we’re deep in the countryside, so we deal with the same things our neighbors do, like the weather affecting the crops or the local roads needing repair after the heavy rains. We just try to be a steady presence in the lives of the people who live in the 247554 area. It’s honest work, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We’re just a small foundation run by people who live right here in Saharanpur and want to see our village do well. We spend our days listening to stories and trying to find practical solutions for everyone who walks through our door.
