U.P. Rajkiya Nirman Nigam Ltd,(A U.P. Govt. Undertaking)

Our office is located in Sector 23, Noida, right at B-19. If you know the area, you know it’s a busy spot. We are a U.P. Government undertaking, which sounds very formal, but day-to-day it’s just a group of us trying to keep construction projects on track. We do a lot of the big building work across the state. My morning usually starts with checking the project schedules and seeing which site needs materials. Noida is a hub for this kind of work. The building we are in has seen better days, but it serves its purpose. We have stacks of files on every shelf. People think government work is slow, but we are always chasing deadlines. There is always a lot of dust from the nearby roads. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just build things. Whether it is a school or a hospital, we are involved in the bricks and mortar part of it. I've been with the Nigam for a long time. The tea boy knows exactly how much sugar I like. Most of my colleagues are like family now. We argue about project costs and then eat lunch together. It is a practical life. We deal with contractors and suppliers all day long. The phone never stops. We just want to get the buildings finished so people can actually use them. That is the reality of working here in Sector 23. We keep our heads down and work.
