Udgi Foundation

Our foundation is based out of Village Kurameerpur. We are located at Mahendra Singh’s place. It’s in the Chhajlet block, and that’s also where our post office is. Being in a village like Kurameerpur means things move a bit slower and it's much quieter than the city. Udgi Foundation isn't some big operation with a fancy glass building. It’s just a room in a house where we get our work done. We deal with the local life here every single day. Sometimes the roads are a bit rough to get here, especially when it rains, but it’s home for us. Mahendra helps out a lot with keeping the whole place running. We don't have a lot of expensive equipment or fancy furniture. Just some basic chairs and a wooden table where we sit and talk. Most of our work involves talking to people from the village and the surrounding areas. We don't have a marketing department or any professional photos. People know us because they know Mahendra or they’ve seen us around Chhajlet over the years. It’s an honest, simple way of doing things. We don’t try to act like we are bigger or more important than we really are. The air is fresh here, and we appreciate the quiet. We just take things one day at a time. If there is paperwork to do, we sit down and do it. If someone comes by with a question, we try to help them out as best as we can.
