Toyo Ink India Pvt. Ltd.

Out here in Greater Noida, things are a bit different than the crowded city. Plot No. 17 in Ecotech II is where we spend our days at Toyo Ink India. It’s a big space and it needs to be because of the drums and the mixing equipment. The smell of ink is the first thing you notice when you walk in every morning. It’s a bit of a trek for some of us to get here, but once the machines start, the day moves quickly. We have workers coming in for their shifts, and the floor stays busy until late. It's not a place for suits and ties; we wear clothes that we don't mind getting a bit of color on. The warehouse area is usually filled with stacks of containers ready to go out. We spend a lot of time checking the machines to make sure they aren't overheating. The industrial estate is quiet compared to the market areas, which is nice in a way. We have a small area where we sit for breaks and talk about whatever is on the news. The paperwork takes up a lot of time in the small office up front. We don't have a lot of visitors, mostly just truck drivers and suppliers. It's hard work and it gets noisy, but we are used to the rhythm of the plant. We just keep the production line moving and make sure the deliveries are loaded right.
