The Chocolate Box

The Chocolate Box is over in Sector 18 at L-2. It is a small shop but we try to keep it looking nice with the glass displays for the chocolates and the cakes. We spend a lot of time arranging the boxes and making sure the temperature is just right so nothing melts, which is hard during the Noida summers. The shop smells like sugar and cocoa most of the time. We have a regular crowd of people who come in for a quick treat or to buy a gift for someone's birthday. The counter is a bit small, so if three people come in at once, it feels very crowded. We have some old stools in the corner, but mostly people just buy what they want and go. The lighting is a bit dim because we like it that way, it feels calmer than the bright lights of the main market outside. Sometimes the door hinges creak and we keep saying we will oil them, but we always forget. We are right there in the L block, which is a bit quieter than the main streets of Sector 18 but still busy enough. It is just a simple place where we sell sweets and try to keep things organized. We have been here for a few years and seen the market change a lot. We don't do any big advertising, just the name on the door and people find us.
