Sarva Samanvay Foundation

We are situated at 123/8 in Vijay Nagar, Kanpur. If you know Kanpur, you know it is a city that never really stops. It is loud and dusty and full of life. Our foundation is right in the middle of that. We focus on bringing different things together. That is what Samanvay means to us. We don't have a fancy mission statement written on the wall. We just have a list of things that need to get done this week. Sometimes it is helping a local school and other times it is working on a community health project. We are a small team and we all wear many hats. One day I might be doing the accounting and the next day I am out delivering supplies. It is not a glamorous job. We have been in Vijay Nagar for a while now and we like the neighborhood. The people are friendly and they know we are here to help. We try to keep things simple. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone with fancy brochures. We just show up and do the work. The office is a bit cramped but it works for us. We have a lot of tea and we talk to a lot of people. That is how we find out what is really going on in the city.
