Sameer Appliances Ltd is over in Sector 6, at B/116. It’s a straightforward shop where we deal with all sorts of household stuff like fans, irons, and kitchen gadgets. The shelves are usually packed quite tight, and sometimes it’s hard to see everything we have in stock. We’ve been in this sector for a good while, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit around us. People come to us when their toaster stops popping or when they need a ceiling fan that won't make a clicking noise all night. We spend a lot of time behind the counter answering questions about which model is easier to clean or which one lasts the longest. It’s a bit dusty in the corners because we have so many boxes stacked up. We don't really bother with big displays; we just put the items out where people can touch them. The lighting in the shop could probably be better, but it does the job. Usually, the morning is quiet, and then it picks up after people get off work. We aren't a big chain store, so it’s usually just the same couple of faces you’ll see every time you visit. We keep a ledger for repairs and try to get things back to people within a week. It’s a small operation, but we keep busy enough with the local crowd coming through.
