About Rs Windlass & Sons – Fashion & Trends in Gautam Buddha Nagar
Our place is over in Phase-Ii, specifically at number 21. It’s an industrial patch, so there’s always a lot of heavy trucks rumbling past our gates. Rs Windlass & Sons is a family-run thing, and you can definitely tell when you walk in. There are photos on the wall from years ago when the area was mostly empty fields. Now, it’s all concrete and steel. We spend most of our time out in the workshop or checking the latest shipments that come in through the bay. The floor is concrete and cold in the mornings, but it warms up once the equipment gets going. We don’t bother much with office decorations. A few calendars and some stacks of ledgers are about all you’ll see on the desks. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other times it’s so quiet you can hear the birds on the roof. We do a lot of metalwork and fabrication, so there’s usually a clanging sound in the background. My cousin handles the accounts, and I usually look after the guys on the floor. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping track of small parts that like to go missing. We’ve had the same neighbors for a decade, and we usually help each other out if a machine breaks down or we need a specific tool.
