Royal Color Lab & Studio

If you are looking for us, we are over in East Patel Nagar inside the White House building. It is quite close to Vinayak Hospital, which is how most people find their way here when they are coming for the first time. We have been running Royal Color Lab & Studio for quite some time. The main room has the big cameras and the backdrops we use for portraits. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the computers editing photos or waiting for the printer to finish a batch of prints. The smell of the chemicals from the old days is gone, but it still feels like a traditional photo lab in here. We do a lot of passport photos for people in a hurry to get their documents sorted. The White House building is pretty easy to spot once you get onto the right street. We have some framed examples of our work on the walls, mostly stuff we’ve done over the years for local families. It gets a bit cramped when a big family comes in for a group shot, but we make it work by moving the stools around. The lighting in the studio is something we are always messing with to get it right. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but it’s a quiet enough spot. We usually have some tea around four o’clock while we wait for the evening rush of customers.
