Pragati Handicrafts Private Limited operates out of Site 4 in the Kasna Industrial Area. We are at G-020 in Greater Noida. Being in an industrial area means there is always noise from machines and trucks passing by. It’s not the prettiest place, mostly just concrete buildings and big warehouses. But this is where the work happens. We do handicrafts, so there’s always something being made or packed in the back. Greater Noida is quite spread out, so it takes a while to get anywhere on the bus. Our space is functional. We have benches for the work and a small corner for the office stuff. It’s dusty because of all the construction and the traffic on the main roads nearby. Gautam Buddha Nagar has grown so much lately. We see new units opening up all the time. Our day starts early before the heat gets too bad in the afternoon. We check the stock and see what needs to be shipped out next. There isn't any fancy decor here, just the tools and the materials we use for our exports. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon when the power goes out for a bit. It’s just a normal day-to-day routine of making things and sending them off. We don't really have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the items we produce right here in Site 4. It’s hard work but it keeps us going.
