Orhob Garments India (Opc) Private Limited is situated in Barhalganj, which is in the Gorakhpur district. We are basically at Gunja Shukla’s place, care of Ashok Kumar. It’s a small operation, mostly just focusing on making clothes. Gorakhpur can be a crowded place but Barhalganj has its own pace. We have some sewing machines and cutting tables set up. It’s not very fancy inside, just a place where we get the work done. A few of us sit together and work on the designs and stitching all day. We talk a lot while we work, mostly about things happening in the town or our families. The electricity can be a bit tricky sometimes so we have to plan our schedule around that. We get our fabric from various sources and then we turn them into finished garments. It’s a lot of measuring and cutting. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on the work we do. People in the area know us and that’s how we get by. The office is really just a room with a few chairs and some registers for keeping records. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon when things slow down a bit. It’s just a small local business trying to do things right in our own way. We keep the doors open and hope for a productive day.
