Merry Foundation

Merry Foundation is based in Jhansi, right on the GWL-Kanpur Bypass. We are near the Ashok Hotel on Medical Road. This part of Jhansi gets quite hot, especially in the summer, but we stay busy inside. Our building is easy to find if you are coming from the bypass. We focus on general welfare work, so we have people coming in for all sorts of reasons. The office is pretty basic, just some chairs, a few desks, and a lot of folders. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just some ceiling fans that hum all day long. It’s a lot of local people stopping by to ask for help or to see what we are working on. The road outside is always busy with trucks and cars going towards Kanpur. We’ve been at this location for a while, so the shopkeepers nearby all know us. It’s a bit of a dusty area, but that’s just Jhansi for you. We spend our hours talking to families and trying to sort out whatever problems they bring to us. It isn't a high-pressure job, but it’s steady. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything; we just rely on people knowing where we are and what we do. It’s a humble setup, but it works for the folks in this neighborhood who need a hand with something. We keep a stack of newspapers in the corner for anyone waiting to read.
